Founded in 2007, Turf Island is metropolitan New York’s premier indoor multi-sport turf field center. Architecturally designed and constructed using state-of-the-art turf field surface, dasher boards, illumination and sound system, Turf Island was built to meet the specific field surface training and organized competition requirements for field-sport athletes, teams, and leagues. Conceived by athletes for athletes, Turf Island’s mission is to offer athletes the absolute best indoor field experience possible, and is based on the following principles:

State-of-the-Art Multi-Sport Turf Fields and Dasherboards
Turf Island’s multi-sport turf fields are constructed with 52 oz. synthetic grass on a base of rubber pellet fill, and lined to accommodate lacrosse, soccer, and football. The fields are protected by 8 ft-high dasherboard panels constructed of pre-glazed strong and durable tempered plexi-sports glass. By utilizing the plexi-sports glass, we allow spectators to pick any place in the facility to watch a game without compromising their view. Turf Grand, our large team competition field, features two team benches, each of which can seat up to the ten adult players comfortably, and also includes a penalty box. Our facility also has two scoreboards.

Retractable Goals
Utilizing a ceiling-based retractable system, Turf Island is able to quickly change the goals necessary to the sports of lacrosse and soccer, ensuring your time on the field of play is maximized to its fullest.
